The RCA Professional Development course is a project-oriented course for 11th and 12th grade students designed to teach students effective leadership, professional communication, event planning, budgeting, professional etiquette, and vocational discernment. Students take saints, such as Pope St. John Paul II and St. Josemaria Escriva, as their guides to advancing their leadership skills. After completing professional etiquette and communication training, students use their newfound skills to explore career paths and religious vocations by interviewing adults in multiple career fields and presenting their findings. The course culminates in the planning of a capstone event, a student dance! This event is completely coordinated by the students from planning the budget, to the decorations, venue, food, and promotion!
